Aerial Chaoshan

Some footage shot in Chaoshan during the Labor Day, edited with the classic BGM of Aerial China, and came up with this Aerial Chaoshan, which mainly includes the ancient city of Chaozhou, Guangji Bridge, the well-organized traditional Chaoshan-style houses in Puning, the park in Swatow, and the Nan’ao Island.

Now please enjoy the video.

For watechers in China, you can also watch it on Bilibili:

The video is shot on DJI’s latest Mini 3 Pro, so I will also write a brief review here. First of all, compared to Air 2S, I did not realize any other benefits of this drone except for its light weight and the fact that it is a new model. It is not so wind-resistant – the sea wind in the Nan’ao Island has already made me very scared each time I flew it, and there were several times I almost could not get it back, needless to say if I used it for aerial photography in that kind of wind in western China. Of course, all above is based on my using experience, please see professional reviews to learn more about the drone, thanks!

Of all the locations in the video, I would strongly recommend Puning.

Almost all tourists to Chaoshan will visit Chaozhou, Swatow and Nan’ao, but few will visit Puning. There is a huge complex of well-organized traditional Chaoshan-style houses, perfectly preserved in some villages. If you want to delve into the traditional culture of that region, Puning is definitely a must-go.

The scale of the complex can be better viewed using a drone overhead.
